A progressive lens designed specifically for children

Children today work longer and harder than ever in school. In order for children to do well in school, they have to spend an increased amount of time on near-visual devices such as cell phones, tablets and laptops.

Whether kids are doing their schoolwork or playing, they use their eyes to see close up. After a while, they start to hold books and electyronic devices closer to them.

Myopia
Some children require glasses to help them see well close up. This eye condition is called myopia. Myopia, or short-sightedness is a condition in which a person can see near objects clearly but has difficulty seeing objects that are far away. Near work, such as reading, writing and computer work, is found to be closely associated with myopia.

Prevention
Kodak Kids Lenses are a wonderful new way to help delay the progression of myopia. This lens is designed especially with kids in mind to help slow down the progression of myopia in young people between the ages of 8 and 16 years. Children who are not at the stage where they need glasses can also benefit from Kodak Kids Lenses. The lens is carefuly crafted to take the strain off the child's eyes. The lens does the work, so their eyes feel fresh all day.
